We created these bylaws to give central committees a real framework for the operation of their central committees (CC). CCs are not a casual club. The structure of political parties in Missouri is detailed in state statutes. There are real responsibilities detailed in the statutes. Bylaws are the legal framework that describes and protects the duties of your CC.  While we believe adopting the entire document is the best path to operating your CC effectively, you are free to pick and choose what works for your committee. Bylaws must be voted in by a majority of your committee. RSMo 115.627 says that within sixty days of reorganization in August of election years, adoption of or changes to your bylaws is limited to a simple majority vote. At any other point, your bylaws can be adopted or amended by no more than a two-thirds vote.
